DP WORLD INCREASE FEES SIGNIFICANTLY from 1st JAN 2024 DP WORLD AUSTRALIA, who operates container terminals at all major ports in AUSTRALIA have announced they will be increasing fees from 1st JAN 2024. If you are an exporter, you will be hit hardest by DP WORLD AUSTRALIA with an increase in MELB of 52.52% on wharf access fees alone. Please note that as always final amounts will be announced by the truckers who pay these charges to the terminals and then recover, with many adding on administrative charges to cover the cash flow and admin side of paying these fees. Transways will be in touch over the next period of time, once the truckers have confirmed the 2024 pricing structure. We highly recommend you build in additional costs to your goods in advance as the increases are not small. You will also see that storage charges have increased significantly, therefore the penalty for not having your goods cleared and ready to move off the wharf is even harsher than previous. This is a timely reminder to ensure that you supply customs clearance documents well in advance of the arrival of your goods.
