As we head towards the festive season, we wish to advise your local Transways Office will be closed on the following days over the festive season. Tuesday 24th December from 12noon (local office time) Wednesday 25th December Thursday 26th December Friday 27th December - Should you require any urgent assistance on this day, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your key contact @ Transways. Tuesday 31st December from 12noon (local office time) Wednesday 1st January 2025 As you may or may not be aware all shipping lines include the public holidays and weekends in the calculation of container detention. We highly recommend that you ensure that all containers are de-hired prior to your closure and if any containers are outstanding, that arrangements be made to open gates to minimise costs. Also please keep in mind that normally terminals around Australia include Boxing Day (26th Dec) and New Year’s Day (1st Jan) as available days on the wharf, therefore it is vital that if you have cargo arriving during this period that all shipping documents are provided in a timely manner to ensure cargo is customs cleared and available from the wharf to avoid storage charges.
