Dear Clients,

HUTCHINSON LANDSIDE FEES TO INCREASE

Unfortunately, the industry has received notification that terminal operator Hutchinson Ports, plan to increase landside charges once again from 9th Jun 2025. This follows on from the increases applied earlier in the year by Patrick & DP World

Hutchinson operate terminals in Sydney and Brisbane.

The INFASTRUCTURE LEVY / TERMINAL ACCESS CHARGE increase effective 9th JUNE 2025, that will be applied to every container is listed below.

Sydney:
  • Imports fees up 8.6% - True cost increase @ $16.96
  • Exports fee up by 6.6% - Trust cost increase @ $12.09
Brisbane:
  • Imports fee up by 7% - True cost increase @ $13.94
  • Exports fee up by 6.3% - True cost increase @ $11.74
Please note that final amounts will vary from the amounts listed above. As you are aware, trucking companies increase these amounts to cover the cost of cash flow & administrative processing.

Hutchinson also announced that majority of their ancillary fees across both terminals (which include truck appointment, sideloader fees, storage etc) will also increase on the 9th JUNE, but by a much larger percentage, with some increasing as much as 16.1%.

Hutchison have cited partial recovery of significant operating costs such as electricity costs doubling, maintenance costs increasing by ~20% and land rental and outgoings increasing by more than 10% as rationale for the increases.

Once Transways has the new amounts confirmed by the truckers, we will unfortunately have no choice but to pass that increase along from the 9th JUNE.

Should you wish to discuss any of these points, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your key contact @ Transways Logistics International.
