Dear Clients,

Effective immediately the Department of Agriculture Water and the Environment has added China to the BMSB list of emerging risk countries for the remainder of the 2020 / 2021 BMSB season.

As a result of this addition, certain goods manufactured in or shipped from China will be subject to increased random inspection. Goods selected for inspection will be required to be unpacked at a Quarantine approved premises at the importers expense.

These heightened measures only apply to the following items:

Plastic Goods

Stone or Cement Articles

Ceramic Products

Glass and Glassware

Articles of Iron or Steel

Machinery and Mechanical Equipment

Electrical Equipment

Ships, Boats and Floating Structures

The current BMSB season concludes on the 30^th April 2022. Goods shipped after 30^th April 2022 will no longer be subject to these measures.
