After failing to achieve price increases in APRIL and MAY, shipping lines have now advertised a GRI for the 15th JUNE ex CHINA / HONG KONG / TAIWAN. The amount advertised is a lower (more likely achievable) amount @ USD100 per 20’ and USD200 per 40’. Effective from the 15th JUNE This is in conjunction with numerous blank sailings on major routes over the coming several weeks. In a continued attempt to drive up demand. Space capacity is plentiful at the current time, along with equipment. We will be eagerly watching the success of their GRI and blank sailing action, to see what impact (if any) it has on the market. We would encourage you to factor in the price increase at the current time, and as always, Transways will only be passing on increases should they be applied.
